Clavus - A localized thickening of epidermis secondary to chronic pressure or friction. Also called: corn and heloma.

A clavus is a white-gray or yellow-brown, well-circumscribed horny papule or nodule.  The clavus (or corn) can be differentiated from a wart simply by paring the surface with a scalpel.
