Hodgkins disease picture
Hodgkin's disease is one of a group of cancers
called lymphomas. Lymphoma is a general term for cancers that develop in the lymphatic
system. Hodgkin's disease, an uncommon lymphoma, accounts for less than 1 percent of all
cases of cancer in this country.
The first sign of Hodgkin's disease is often an enlarged lymph node which appears
without reason. The disease can spread to adjacent lymph nodes and later may spread
outside the lymph nodes to other parts of the body.
